Jal Milne is a 31 year old who lives in Sydney, NSW, and has been a Telstra shareholder since T3.

If I were Telstra’s CEO I would... Recently I have been negotiating with Telstra & Optus for better rates for all our business services. Unfortunately Optus can offer better rates for mobiles services and in most cases the internet and landlines also. Particularly free SMS & MMS between fleet phones (we have 8). Telstra's new business options are a step forward - but at the moment the lack of Free SMS & MMS between Group phones is slack. There should also be reduced SMS & MMS rates between Mobilenet phones, inline with the reduced calls rates between mobilenet phones. Telstra has pushed forward with expansion of networks & faster speeds - but it would also benefit from focusing on retaining existing clients and offering competitive pricing. A sub $50/month 200mb WiFi Broadband connection, that has currently been phased out with CDMA - would retain my mobile BB service.

If you asked me what I did, I'd say...Work full-time

I bought most of my Telstra shares in...T3

I bought Telstra shares because... It seemed like a good investment, solid company that would pay good dividends even if the share price stayed fairly stable.

My first successful investment was... BHP.

The best investment I ever made was... Suncorp Metway.

What I learned from my worst investment decision... Never buy stock in an airline.

The best investment advice I’ve ever been given... Never buy stock in an airline - unfortunately this came after the question above.

How I use telecommunications now... Extensively - I'm an avid user of all technology and early adaptor new technologies.

How I see the future of telecommunications in Australia... constipated by regularions & and over priced. Particularly the new telstra services the slight speed increase does not yet justify the addition monthly cost to the user.
